Current status in terms of protection of geological sites within the aUGGp

The geological sites in the geopark are protected by Thai national law, i.e., Minerals Act, B.E. 2560 (2017). Although some sites are in private land, the fossils found in these sites are protected by the “Fossil Protection Act B.E. 2551 (2008)” and can be moved to the museum. ประกาศในราชกิจจานุเบกษา เมื่อวันที่ 2 มีนาคม 2560

โดยจะมีผลใช้บังคับเมื่อพ้นกำหนด 180 วันนับแต่วันประกาศในราชกิจจานุเบกษาเป็นต้นไป

ดังนั้น พระราชบัญญัติแร่ พ.ศ. 2560 ฉบับนี้ จะเริ่มต้นมีผลใช้บังคับในวันที่ 29 สิงหาคม 2560 เป็นต้นไป
