The first meeting of 2026 (1/2569) reported on the progress, followed up on operations, planned, and prepared for the UNESCO Revalidation Mission to maintain Thailand's status as the only "UNESCO Three Crowns City."

Today (March 18, 2026) at 3:00 PM, at the Rattanapian Meeting Room, 2nd floor, Chalermprakiat Building (Building 9), Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University, Assistant Professor Rekha Intrakamhaeng, Assistant to the President for Student Development and General Affairs, and head of the project, chaired the first meeting of the committee for the project to strengthen holistic cooperation among all sectors according to UNESCO guidelines for the Korat Geopark area of ​​Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University.

The meeting was presided over by Assistant Professor Dr. Sawiya Pratthanaadee Chatiwatthanakan, Vice President for Student Development, representing the President, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Pratheung Chintasakul, Director of the Korat Geopark, and Assistant Professor Dr. Natthinee Thongdee, Director of the Petrified Wood Research Institute. The project committee honored us with their presence at this meeting.

The important agendas of this meeting included reporting on the progress, monitoring the implementation, planning future activities, and preparing for the second and subsequent revalidation assessments (Revalidation Mission) of the Korat World Geopark according to UNESCO guidelines, conducted by UNESCO-certified experts.

During the meeting, the project committee members shared their opinions and suggestions on past activities, and jointly planned future activities for the upcoming quarter to ensure a shared understanding of the work, maximize efficiency, and ensure the best possible return on investment for each activity.

The project to strengthen holistic collaboration among all sectors according to UNESCO guidelines in the Korat World Geopark area is being implemented by Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University in collaboration with the Environmental Fund Committee. It was approved at the 6th meeting of 2024 on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, and has a project duration of 3 years (December 1, 2024 – November 30, 2026).
