The Khorat Global Geopark Steering Committee Meeting No. 1/2026 was held on February 20, 2026, at 9:30 AM at the Khorat Geopark Office, 2nd Floor Meeting Room, Northeastern Fossil Research Institute, Suranaree Subdistrict, Nakhon Ratchasima Province. The meeting aimed to establish key strategies for maintaining global standards and sustainable area development.

​The main agenda of this meeting was to monitor progress and preparation for the revalidation mission in 2026. This serves as a significant test in maintaining the Global Geopark status, driven by all sectors within Nakhon Ratchasima Province and Thailand.

​The committee emphasized that operations must be continuous, not solely to pass the evaluation, but to strive for tangible development in all dimensions. The core principle of the operation is the "Bottom-up Approach," to which the meeting gave great importance by placing the local community at the heart of the movement. This involves integrating the efforts of government agencies, the education sector, and the private sector to ensure unity.
