Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University, through its Office of Arts and Culture, acting as the conservation unit of Nakhon Ratchasima Province, presented the results of its one-year project to strengthen holistic collaboration among all sectors following UNESCO guidelines in the Korat Geopark area and received feedback from the project monitoring committee of the Environmental Fund.

On December 12, 2025, Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University held a meeting to present the results of the project "Strengthening Holistic Collaboration Among All Sectors Following UNESCO Guidelines in the Korat Geopark Area" (project duration 2025-2026) and to receive feedback from the project monitoring committee of the Environmental Fund. The meeting took place in the Rattanaphian Meeting Room, 2nd floor, Chalerm Phrakiat Building (Building 9), Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University.
On this occasion, Associate Professor Dr. Adisorn Naunnont, President of Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University, gave a welcoming speech to the committee. The meeting to monitor the project's progress commenced. Associate Professor Dr. Natthakit Inthasawan, Vice President for Student Development and Acting Director of the Office of Arts and Culture, then welcomed the committee from the Environmental Fund and expressed his gratitude for their continued support of this activity.
Following this, Assistant Professor Rekha Intrakamhaeng, Project Head and Head of the Local Natural and Cultural Conservation Unit of Nakhon Ratchasima Province, along with Assistant Professor Dr. Pratheung Chintasakul, Director of the Korat Geopark World Heritage Site, and the project committee, welcomed the committee and presented information.
The project monitoring committee from the Environmental Fund, consisting of Ms. Suwanna Chantrapaitoon, Director of the Natural Resources Project Analysis Group, and staff from the Environmental Fund Management Division, Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and Planning (ONREP), Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, conducted a site visit to monitor the project's progress from December 11-12, 2025, at the Korat Geopark World Heritage Site, the Petrified Wood Museum, and Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University.
This site visit... The focus was on visiting and interviewing the local people at the six key project sites:
- Tha Chang Sand Pit, Tha Chang Subdistrict, Chaloem Phra Kiat District
- Petrified Forest at the Petrified Wood Museum, Northeastern Thailand Petrified Wood and Geological Resources Research Institute, Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University
- Phan Dung Salt Mine, Phan Dung Subdistrict, Kham Thale So District
- Wat Pa Charoen Tham, Phan Dung Subdistrict, Kham Thale So District
- Reclining Buddha Archaeology, Wat Thammasemaram, Sema Subdistrict, Sung Noen District
- Ancient City, Sema Subdistrict, Sung Noen District
During the meeting, Assistant Professor Rekha Intrakamhaeng reported on the project's progress and, together with the project committee, provided detailed information to the monitoring committee.
The monitoring committee listened to the report and provided valuable suggestions for the project's remaining implementation. They also expressed appreciation and encouragement for the work, aiming to ensure the project achieves its objectives and provides maximum benefit to the community and the nation.
