The executives and staff of the Korat Geopark, led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Pratuang Jintasakul and the Khao Chan Ngam Geopark tourism community, participated in the "Join Hands to Protect the Environment" activity on May 15, 2018, at 2:00 PM.

The event, "Join Hands to Protect the Environment," was held in honor of His Majesty King Rama X on the auspicious occasion of his 60th birthday in 2024 at the Khlong Phrik Agro-Industrial Correctional Institution, Sikhio District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province.

The event supported a reforestation project for junior inmates, with cooperation from the Provincial Office of Natural Resources and Environmental Policy and relevant agencies under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. Prime Minister Settha Thavisin presided over the ceremony, along with the Ministers of Justice, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives.

The Khorat Geopark team welcomed over 50 executives, staff, teachers, and students from Ubon Ratchathani Geopark. Led by Father Surapol Saiphan, former Governor of Ubon Ratchathani Province, Professor Yut and Professor Suchada Maenpim, and Phi Aun, Director of the Natural Resources and Environment Division, Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Administrative Organization.

 The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) has joined forces with the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation (DNP) and Nakhon Ratchasima Province to sign a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to jointly promote Khorat as a global geopark.

 
On July 1, Ms. Supamas Isaraphakdi, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), presided over the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Thailand Institute of Scientific and Technological Research (TISTR), the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, and Nakhon Ratchasima Province.

 The Petrified Wood Research Institute, in collaboration with the Khorat Global Geopark and the Department of Mineral Resources, held a short training course on holistic geology for the establishment of a geopark on August 15-16, 2024, at the Sirindhorn Building Conference Room, the Petrified Wood and Mineral Resources Research Institute, Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University.
