On 27-28 June 2019, Khorat Geopark in cooperation with Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University arranged a meeting for dialogue and critique of the Khorat Geopark local curricula, held at Tha Chang Rat Bamrung School, Chaloem Phra Kiat District.  The meeting was attended by the staff of network partnership schools from the 5 districts of the Khorat Geopark, experts from The Secondary Educational Service Area Office 31 and Nakhonratchasima Primary Education Service Area Office 4, teachers and professionals from Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University, geology experts from the Department of Mineral Resources, and representatives from Nakhonratchasima Provincial Office of Natural Resources and Environment.

The Khorat Geopark local curricula will be used in teaching in the Khorat Geopark network partnership schools from primary to upper secondary school levels. The information will be incorporated into basic courses as well as used in additional courses to provide knowledge to students about the uniqueness and remarkability of the local natural resources and to raise awareness of the value of local resources, geological, natural, ecological, and cultural.  This knowledge can be applied to conservation and sustainable development of the local regions in accordance with the approach of UNESCO.
